Hey!!!

It's been a while but, believe it or not, we're up and running (figuratively, not literally of course). We had a booth at the Ironman Buffalo Springs Lake 70.3 and it went great. Rhino, Thunder, Flash, Nemo and our legal team wish to thank everyone for coming by and hanging out with us. Our website is slowly but surely coming on board (http://www.tripirates.com/) and our eBay store is open with our gear (http://stores.ebay.com/Tri-Pirates-com-Crew-Store ). Hopefully soon you'll be able to follow the links from the website to everything and we'll look less like a few drunks who made a semi-functional website and celebrated for weeks.

The race was brutal, but then it always is. The organization of the event is second to none and I have to take my hat off to the organizers and directors. If you haven't done this race, you should. It's great training and runs without a hitch. That being said, the course is very tough and will challenge you. Hills, heat, wind, boredom, all come into play as you ride and run through the canyons and deserts of Lubbock, Tx. I've heard that the pros see this race as training for Kona because the conditions are so similar. I can see why after doing this one twice. After you go through the canyons, you have a long, hot, windy ride through barren desert to transition. The run takes you through the park around the lake, but then goes through a huge canyon out into...yet more desert. You then spend the next hour or so running across open plains with no shade (or anything to look at). The support was great and we had a cool time over the weekend, so if you can fit it on your schedule BSLT is a great event (plan for lots of liquids at the finish).

Keep checking back every few days and we'll have more to offer and more information.
